Lex Sendikas – MSAC State Development coach
Lex began swimming competitively at the age of 9. Freestyle was always his best stroke, however, he dabbled in medley and finished swimming more butterfly than any other stroke. Lex went through a standard progression as a junior where he began swim teaching which eventuated into coaching junior squads at his childhood club of Doncaster Templestowe. From here, Lex juggled swimming, coaching and university whilst being coached as a swimmer as well as mentored as a coach by Nic Campbell and then eventually Yuriy Burunov. Lex ran the State Development Squad at Doncaster Templestowe for two years and in this time had swimmers compete and final in the Victorian State Age LC Championships as well as medal in School Swimming Victoria and Metro All Junior competitions.
