2014 Victorian Short Course Championships

Open Short Course

This year's Championships included events for Open, MC and 12/under age groups and following a great weekend of racing, 2-3 August at MSAC, MVC is in second place in the combined pointscore. With less than 40 points separating MVC from the  first placed team results at next month's Victorian Age SC Championships will determine the Champion Club for this short course season.

MVC acknowledges all swimmers who qualified to compete in the Championships and hopes they are proud of this achievement. With plenty of pb's, top 10 finishes and podium appearances it was a successful competition for our team. Just as important though were the swimmers who did not achieve what they had hoped but showed true sportsmanship through support of their team mates and congratulations to other competitors.

Age Short Course
MVC age groups swimmers 18/under competed at the 2014 Victorian Age SC Championships held at MSAC 5-7 September. Swimmers contributed to the points tally with MVC pulling just ahead to finish in first place overall. Combined with the Open result MVC is the Champion Victorian Club for the short course season.

Swimming Victoria will consider performance from last weekend's racing to select a team, swimmers and coaches, to compete at the 2014 State Teams Age Short Course Championships, held at the AIS 26-28 September.

MVC is proud of the efforts of swimmers who participated at the Championships and acknowledges all team members. Congratulations to finalists and to medal winners.
